About The Position

As a Material Handler on the 1st shift, you will work with limited supervision, leading less experienced associates while performing all the same duties as the grade 6 Material Handlers. Your responsibilities will include planning and overseeing the shipping, receiving, and handling of materials, as well as overseeing the storage of materials. You will follow instructions for issuing and receiving materials and supplies, and be responsible for the verification of documents. Additionally, you will train less experienced material handlers on an ongoing basis and interact daily with Engineers, production control, and production departments. You will also drive a truck for deliveries from Osram to the Norton Warehouse and other facilities as needed, and handle the receipt of incoming deliveries for both truck and container. A strong knowledge of material staging, placement, and pulling for shipments is essential.

Requirements

  • Must successfully pass Industrial Lift Physical & Drug Test.
  • Must maintain a valid lift operation license/certification.
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and time-oriented.
  • Must show the ability to train others effectively.
  • 2-3 years of related experience preferred.
