About The Position

Purpose: Facilitate the movement of production parts, materials, and supplies throughout the organization with a quality mindset and in an efficient manner. Roles: Expected behaviors and activities performed to fulfill responsibilities Practice and encourage the best safety practices resulting in zero lost time within department. Implement and practice effective 5S and participate in regular team 5S audits. Accountable to follow instruction and established routines and process to achieve results. Arrive at work and position on time; remain present and engaged the entire assigned shift. Must have the ability to hold a workflow schedule. Engage in clear, courteous, effective, honest, and open communications with team members and others within and outside the company. Set an example of working hard and doing the right things, exhibit energy and positivity. Develop and seek positive relationships; actively participate in regular huddles and goal setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Ability to learn and navigate the basics of new software.
  • Ability to obtain OAK industrial truck driving permit.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and qualify for a chauffeur license.
  • Ability to receive forklift license and ability to learn to operate cranes and man-lifts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with exceptional self-motivation and drive.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and determined to meet goals.
  • Documentation of a current drug screen must be provided prior to start date.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive at work and position on time; remain present and engaged the entire assigned shift.
  • Must have the ability to hold a workflow schedule.
  • Participate in regular employee review including setting and achieving goals.
  • Reads or follows instructions to facilitate movement of materials, parts, containers, and pallets to/from appropriate location or work area.
  • Efficiently and safely load trucks and trailers for transport of materials, parts, containers, and pallets.
  • Efficiently and safely operate company fork trucks, van and soft side truck.
  • Documents inbound and outbound transactions and identifies damaged material.
  • Assist with vendor receiving, including pickup and drop off, when time allows.
