We are looking for a Material Handler 1 to work in our Distribution Center. This role is responsible for accurately picking, packing and staging customer orders in a fast-paced fulfillment environment. This role supports on time shipment and customer satisfaction by following order instructions, verifying order accuracy, labeling, and meeting productivity and quality standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Generally, a minimum of zero to one (0-1) years of experience in fulfillment operation or warehouse environment.
  • Generally, a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties following training and instruction.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory handling.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Awareness of workplace safety practices and ability to follow.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or fulfillment environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick products in accordance with customer orders and established procedures.
  • Verify item accuracy, quantities, and lot information prior to packing.
  • Properly pack and label orders for shipment.
  • Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and order movement.
  • Stage completed orders in designated shipping locations.
  • Maintain warehouse conditions that meet or exceed USDA/FDA and customer‑specific requirements, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance on a full‑time basis.
  • Embody OFD’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department and company culture.
