Quick Summary The person in this role will spend their time promoting teamwork within the groups to excel at meeting internal and external customer expectations, including ensuring material is received within 24 hours and delivered to the production floor in the appropriate qty and in the correct format to maximize production efficiency. Requirements

  • Leadership Skills – including organizational skills, ability to manage multiple departments 24 x 7, strong team building skills, ability handle ambiguity, ability to organize and prioritize, and strong decision making

Responsibilities

  • Gain a detailed understanding of the material flow process from receiving to delivering material to the shop floor and offer immediate suggestions for improvement
  • Develop a cohesive team, including direct reports and hold them accountable for their areas through equal respect
  • Develop accountability of the team
  • Develop key metrics and goals for the Stockroom and Receiving departments
  • Identify and drive improvement initiatives
  • Develop and improve metrics
  • Improve the stockroom layout and flow between the dock, plant 1, plant 2 and production
  • Maintain cohesive team to empower them to take on their own continuous improvement initiatives/ideas
  • Maintain metrics, SOP’s and training plans
  • Maintain a team atmosphere and within the Stockroom and Receiving team
  • Strive to maintain a team atmosphere between receiving, stockroom, buyers, planners and production
  • Develop the team through performance feedbacks, productive feedback and appropriate training
  • Approve pay in Timekeeping System
  • Manage department schedules, coverage and duties
