You will manage the flow of materials through the facility to support production flows within the production and warehousing operations. You will support future and current model studies for ICE and BEV PTO facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 or more years of materials experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% during launch phases

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Experience with successful automation, implementations including AGV/AMR and warehouse automation
  • Demonstrated experience working with all levels of the organization
  • Experience working collaboratively on teams and driving

  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Tenure working in the automotive industry

  • Strong understanding of lean material flow strategies & lean manufacturing processes

Responsibilities

  • Process Design & Optimization: Design and optimize material flow processes using Lean principles to improve safety, quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Facility Layout & Space Management: Develop plant layouts and space analyses for markets, sequencing, and kitting areas to maximize storage and labor productivity.
  • Systems & Inventory Control: Implement industrial engineering systems for capacity forecasting and define in-plant storage/call systems to maintain inventory metrics.
  • Equipment & Safety Analysis: Qualify manual and powered material handling equipment and conduct traffic flow analyses to mitigate congestion and enhance facility safety.
  • Project Management: Lead multi-month project lifecycles, including milestone scheduling, resource coordination, and economic evaluations of alternate plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to document standards, provide technical training, and ensure process adherence.
  • Technical Administration: Administer technical procedures and work instructions while interacting with vendors on administrative and technical matters.
