About The Position

Mercury Electronics has an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Material Expeditor to join our Supply Chain team. This role supports purchasing and operations by ensuring timely material flow in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. The Material Expeditor monitors supplier deliveries, follows up on at-risk shipments, and communicates material status to internal teams to help prevent shortages and keep production running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone starting or growing a career in supply chain. We are willing to train the right individual who brings strong organizational skills, urgency, and a desire to learn. Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication and professional work approach
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to learn purchasing and manufacturing processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, customer service, or administrative support
  • Familiarity with ERP or supply chain systems

Responsibilities

  • Monitor open purchase orders and confirm supplier delivery commitments
  • Follow up on late or at-risk shipments to prevent material shortages
  • Track shipments and confirm receipt and delivery status
  • Maintain past-due reports and support recovery actions
  • Communicate material status to Buyers, Planning, and Operations
  • Escalate urgent supply risks as needed
  • Improve visibility to inbound materials and delivery performance
  • Support Buyers with order follow-up and status updates
