About The Position

The Material Expediter is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment while efficiently handling the receipt of inventories and incoming purchase orders. This role involves coordinating the movement of palletized inventory between departments, issuing inventory items, and accurately tracking items to ensure proper documentation is completed. The position supports logistical actions in collaboration with the Armed Forces and requires effective communication with various stakeholders.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in facilitating and expediting the flow of materials between departments.
• Experience dealing directly with customers to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods.
• Ability to inspect goods upon delivery to verify they match order specifications.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week (0800-1700).
• Must be team-oriented and able to work with limited or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Handle receipt of inventories and incoming purchase orders efficiently.
• Coordinate movement of palletized inventory between departments.
• Issue inventory items and track items from location to location.
• Ensure associated documentation is completed accurately.
• Conduct logistical functions in DPAS and COLTS.
• Follow established processes, procedures, and SOPs to complete daily tasks.
• Communicate frequently with the Logistics Lead, Warehouse Manager, Team/Section Leads, Project Managers, and customers regarding task status.
• Input items received and shipped into DPAS and COLTs.
• Research to resolve part number, serial, and NSN discrepancies.
• Assist in warehouse actions related to Life Cycle Sustainment Management, Training, Integration, Maintenance & Testing of material and equipment.
