About The Position

Material Coordinators are a vital position within the Ft Bragg Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) and report directly to the Supply Tech Shift Lead. Material Coordinators review and complete aircraft load plans using ICODES. ensures deploying units adhere to established movement timetables; inspects packaging, marking, labeling and placarding; reviews shipping paperwork and accompanying cargo for accuracy and completeness. Finalizes all cargo and passenger documentation for air movement as necessary, verifies the shipper’s declaration for dangerous goods match diplomatic clearances approved by USTC in SMS/GDSS. Validates final aircraft weights do not exceed the allowable cabin load (ACL) for each mission. Material Coordinators assist in the collection of data for end of month reports by processing/maintaining air movement records in accordance with department procedures. Material Coordinators plan and coordinate the movement of military personnel and cargo through staged departure and arrival points in support of training and real-world deployments. Material Coordinators track inbound/outbound missions with GDSS/SMS to ensure strict movement timelines are met. They must obtain a “Secret” clearance and maintain it throughout employment. Material Coordinators may be tasked to support passenger service duties to ensure quality customer service and compliance with IOPs and Defense Transportation Regulations. Material Coordinators perform A/DACG dispatch duties, maintain aircraft status boards, receive air mission set-ups, and relay information on passenger/cargo processing and movements to the A/DACG Supervisor/Shift leader and other agencies as required. Must attend and maintain currency with the Army’s AMCO course. Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to operate all-terrain vehicles, pick-up trucks, and operate generated mounted light sets. Must be able to lift 50 pounds unaided. Material Coordinators must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, Work Instructions, and complete all assigned duties as directed by the A/DACG Supervisor and Supply Tech Shift Lead.

Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Drive a GSA vehicle
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Perform other duties as required that may involve working overtime, weekends, flexible hours and holidays.
  • Must attend and maintain currency with the Army’s AMCO course

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
