About The Position

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily material flow, inventory accuracy, and production readiness within the facility. This role ensures materials are ordered, received, stored, and issued to production in alignment with operational schedules and customer demand. The position partners closely with production, planning, procurement, and logistics teams to prevent shortages, delays, and inventory discrepancies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in materials coordination, warehouse, supply chain, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • Experience supporting production scheduling or planning.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with inventory control processes, cycle counting, and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing materials to support production and customer shipments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through system transactions, cycle counts, and audits.
  • Monitor material shortages and work with planning and procurement to expedite orders.
  • Issue materials to production based on schedules, work orders, and demand signals.
  • Track and manage material movement reminders, Kanban, and replenishment processes.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials in warehouse and production areas.
  • Support receiving activities including verification, documentation, and system entry.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and root causes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve material flow, inventory control, and efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain and material handling.
