About The Position

The Material Coordinator position is for the Moored Training Ship Support Yard (MTSSY) site office located at Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU) and Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC), Goose Creek, SC.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience with material shipping, receiving, and issuing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication skills necessary to function within existing team and outside organizations.
  • Good team skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Armed Forces Supply instructions and procedures
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (i.e. forklifts, walkie stackers, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Ship
  • Receive
  • Issuing
  • Stock and post material
  • Operate forklift and stake bed
  • Maintain and upkeep of warehouses/storerooms
  • Perform inventories and inspections
  • Candidate must be familiar with hazardous material handling.
  • Candidate must be able to perform physical tasks required for warehouse and storeroom personnel.
