About The Position

The Material Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of materials and products within or between hangars, ensuring compliance with production schedules and maintenance priorities. This role involves reviewing hazmat lockers, delivering products, arranging in-plant transfers, and monitoring material usage. The coordinator also handles hazardous waste and ensures that expired products are returned appropriately.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
• Must possess or be able to pass a DOT physical.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Must have experience driving a box truck.
• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.
• Previous hazmat experience beneficial.
• Experience working in a military/govt contracting environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Expedite flow of materials and products within or between hangars according to production schedules.
• Review hazmat lockers to determine required materials and deliver products accordingly.
• Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
• Examine material delivered to production departments to verify specifications.
• Identify and return expired products to the return locker.
• Monitor and compile reports on the quantity and type of material on hand or used.
• Transport materials using hand or industrial trucks.
• Gather hazardous waste from return lockers and transport to main post for turn-in.
• Stock hazmat lockers with required products.
• Inspect lockers for expired products.
• Pull stock from hazmat storage buildings and transport to hangars and lockers.
