About The Position

The Material Coordinator at Clorox is responsible for managing all aspects of packaging and raw materials for the Martinsburg facility, ensuring that materials are available for production. This role involves purchasing, tracking deliveries, maintaining SAP data, and ensuring inventory accuracy. The coordinator will also serve as a liaison between the plant and vendors, addressing quality and delivery concerns, and may back up other coordinators in the litter network as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and SAP functionality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-service oriented with a focus on internal customers.
  • Detail-oriented with an understanding of financial implications of material transactions.
  • Ability to be flexible with business needs and work independently.
  • Willingness to receive calls or work from home during off-hours.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability of packaging and raw materials for production.
  • Serve as a liaison between the plant and vendors, addressing quality and delivery concerns.
  • Provide short-term forecasts to vendors and input for long-term forecasts after quarterly budget updates.
  • Execute Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely availability of commodities.
  • Issue Authorization to Print (ATPs) to initiate production of materials ahead of actual POs.
  • Update and review daily reports on material shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Identify and communicate issues involving assigned commodities during plant reviews and meetings.
  • Ensure quality of packaging and raw materials by working with the Quality group and issuing notifications for out-of-spec materials.
  • Support business and plant projects involving materials and maintain SAP master data.
  • Provide input on inventory targets and perform cycle counts on assigned materials.
  • Continuously seek and implement improvements in materials processes.
  • Back up the Plant Scheduler in their absence and assist with business support initiatives.
