The Material Coordinator is responsible for performing administrative and inventory control tasks for materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. These tasks may be within or associated with one or more of the following areas: Shipping, Receiving, Work-In-Process, Production Control, Inventory Control, Warehousing, and Distribution. The role involves checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods, and rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Additionally, the coordinator prepares and maintains records of items shipped, posts weights and shipping charges, and ensures timely and accurate shipping information is available to Order Management. The position also includes performing inventory control activities such as cycle counts, data entry, report generation, and reconciliation, as well as interfacing with Buyers, Planners, Production, and Scheduling to process material transactions and fulfill customer demand.
