About The Position

Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Material Controller - GGS located at Gerald Gentleman Station in Sutherland, Nebraska. This position is responsible for overall accuracy and verification of inventory and includes receiving and issuing of material by proper procedure for efficient warehousing. This position is responsible for overall accuracy and verification of goods, both inventory and non-inventory, and includes receiving, issuing, and delivering of material by proper procedure for efficient warehousing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).

Responsibilities

• Control the issuance and accurate release for warehoused material and spare parts.
• Unload and load freight shipments or deliveries and monitor for concealed explosives and potential damage (includes sulfuric acid, caustic, and chlorine).
• Tag material accurately for proper material classification.
• Ensure proper storage environment is achieved for materials.
• Responsible for accurate verification of physical inventory.
• Deliver material to other departments.
• Accountable for other duties as assigned.
