About The Position

Position is contingent upon contract award As the Material Control Technician, you will team with providing vehicle management, maintenance, material control and ground transportation to include performing administrative and management functions. The Technician will also monitor management and procedural application of manual or automated inventory control actions in support of the Air Force property accounting, stock and inventory control, accountability and responsibility, principles of property accounting through manual or automated data processing (ADP).

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ functional experience, preferably with AFSC 2S071, Air Force property accounting, stock and inventory control.
  • Principles of property accounting through manual or automated data processing (ADP), storage methods, warehouse control (receipt, issue, and disposal) and materiel handling techniques, methods of preparing and maintaining supply records, manual and automated supply accounting systems, logistics principles and interactions (supply, maintenance, transportation, and procurement).
  • Have a full understanding and comply with AFI 91-203, Air Force Consolidated Occupational Safety Instructions and KAF HAZMAT policy.
  • Possess a minimum of four years’ experience in hazardous waste management
  • Must have an maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Military Hazmat/Hazardous Waste experience preferred.
  • A solid understanding of Safety Data Sheets and Hazardous Material identification and management is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of EESOH-MIS and/or relational databases.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with USAF Integrated Logistics System – Supply (ILS-S)
  • Experience with the Internet-based Contractor Operated Parts Store (ICOPARS) provided by Headquarters (HQ) USAFCENT/A4RV for commercial parts/local purchase or military Supply option
  • Control and issue bench stock property and obtain material required for equipment modification, periodic component exchange and bill of material in support of vehicle maintenance.
  • Maintain and coordinate storage methods, warehouse control (receipt, issue, and disposal), materiel handling techniques, methods of preparing and maintaining supply records, manual and automated supply accounting systems
  • Perform item and monetary accounting and inventory stock control.
  • Compute requirement, determine allowance, research and identify supplies and equipment requirements
  • Inspect and evaluate inventory management activities.
  • Periodically inspect activities for compliance with policies, procedures and directives for accuracy

  • Perform operations involved in storage, inspection, identification and receipt of property.
  • Conduct inventories and be responsible for facility safety and security.
  • Operate automated equipment, special purpose government vehicles and material handling equipment.
  • The Contractor shall fully comply with the BAF Hazardous Material Handling Program and AFMAN 91-203, Air Force Occupational Safety, Fire and Health Standards.
  • Make training documentation available to the COR upon request.
  • Conduct waste sampling; conduct waste characterization and waste profile generation.
  • Maintain compliance with all AF policies and goals on HW reduction.
  • Prepare HW containers for shipment and coordinate with transport/disposal contractors.
  • Provide management of non-hazardous industrial and special waste, used oil and off-spec fuel; waste consolidation/lab packing, waste turn-in/preparation for shipment, pick-up of waste for transfer to central accumulation area.
