About The Position
The Material Control Specialist position is a full-time role located in Easthampton, MA, offering a salary range of $18-22 per hour. This position is essential for ensuring the accurate control and tracking of physical inventory in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The specialist will be responsible for issuing purchase requisitions based on current inventory levels and will actively participate in inventory processes and daily audits. A key aspect of the role involves researching and resolving any discrepancies that may arise in inventory records. In addition to maintaining accurate records of the quantity, type, and supplies stocked, the Material Control Specialist will manage an inventory database to ensure all data is up-to-date and reliable. The role requires the timely receipt, location, and transfer of materials based on the Work In Progress (WIP) list, adhering strictly to SOPs. The specialist will also inspect all incoming critical materials according to associated procedures and requirements, ensuring that all accompanying paperwork is processed correctly. Furthermore, the position involves identifying damaged products and following the appropriate processes to quarantine or return these items as necessary.
