About The Position

T1 Energy is looking to hire a Material Control Operator to support the smooth and efficient flow of materials across our solar module manufacturing facility. This role is critical to production success, ensuring material availability, proper inventory control, and timely coordination with purchasing, logistics, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Associate degree or higher preferred; relevant work experience in material handling, warehouse logistics, or inventory control is strongly considered.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment preferred (solar or electronics manufacturing is a plus).
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and manual handling of materials required.
  • Requires visual acuity for reading data, inventory sheets, and using computer systems.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift and/or Electric Pallet Jack Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage material demand schedules based on production plans and order requirements.
  • Generate purchase requisitions to support ongoing production while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing excess or obsolete materials.
  • Track and monitor incoming material shipments and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery, cost alignment, and inventory targets.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, receiving materials, and issuing activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and proactively resolve material shortages, overstock issues, and potential disruptions to production.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to ensure clear communication of material availability.
  • Support inventory control measures, reporting, and system updates using ERP/warehouse management tools.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Materials Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
