About The Position

To accurately provide inventory information for company-controlled material stock. Monitor, organize and maintain inventory of company product at multiple branch locations. This position has been identified as “safety sensitive” by thyssenkrupp under applicable laws in the state of Washington. Accordingly, any application for this position that is considered for employment with thyssenkrupp requires successful completion of pre-employment drug testing, which may include testing for marijuana in accordance with any applicable federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to any such laws in the state of Washington.

Requirements

  • This is a Safety Sensitive role, the company is dedicated to the safety of all employees, and we are looking for candidates that are safety oriented to join our team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English and perform basic math problems.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system
  • Ability to use tape measure and calipers for material inspection/measurement.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in written work and data entry.
  • Ability to be certified to operate material handling equipment, examples include forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college course work, leading toward completion of degree.
  • 3 years of previous material control or inventory experience
  • Previous experience safely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill.
  • Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.
  • Operate material handling/PIT/forklift equipment as necessary to support movement of material.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.
  • Complete material consolidation tasks, including internal “supermarket” areas.
  • Identify material shortages and issues and communicate to appropriate staff.
  • Perform verification of scrap
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
  • Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits.
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up.
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, ISO and 6S Initiatives, compliance and Lean initiatives, requirements, and/or training.
  • Meet all other TKMNA employee attributes and competencies.

  • Holiday Pay: For a 5-day 8-hour shift you will receive up to 88 hours of holiday pay, for a 4-day 10-hour shift, you will receive up to 80 hours of holiday pay, and for a 3-day 12-hour shift you will receive up to 72 hours of holiday pay depending on the date of hire and the holiday schedule posted as it changes yearly.
