On Site : This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Defense Production Facility on a full-time basis (shift is four 10's, Monday - Thursday). The Role: As a leader in Supply Chain, you will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of individual contributors for one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain Organization: manufacturing/ warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management. You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Supply chain, Industrial) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of equivalent experience (Mfg. and Supply chain)
  • High level of analytical ability & problem solving where problems are unusual and difficult.
  • Experience with using SAP/MGO/Oracle or similar ERP, MS-Office tools (Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the Supply Chain office operations for direct materials including purchased parts, production planning, and customer orders.
  • Leads crisis management for supplier issues and manages premium transportation.
  • Ensures correct inventories for all components – T1, Bailment, Catalog.
  • Coordinates Annual Physical Inventory and reconciles gains/losses.
  • Completes mid-year and year-end salary CAP assessments.
  • Supports GMS and BIQ 4 initiatives for SLT principals as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Leads cost reduction initiates pertaining to inventory management and premium transportation.
  • Audits SAP data for inventory accuracy.
  • Supervises, trains and develops salaried employees
  • Follow-up on problem solving initiatives related to stock discrepancies
  • Supports material activities surrounding a plan for every part for MVB and all launch activities
  • Interfaces with Central Office allocation on part issues as required
  • Implements, monitors and maintains GMS elements
  • Investigates supplier claims of unpaid bills
  • Investigates duplicate receipts
  • Performs a daily audit of record adjustments including MR/DR reviews
  • Responsible for stock / record balance accuracy
  • Ensure GM inventory and capital investment is protected
  • Develop and implement cost savings projects
