LOCATION & SCHEDULE: Louisville, CO On-Site M-F THE ROLE: The Material Control Coordinator will manage parts of the supply chain encompassing receiving, inventory, ordering, quality, shipping, and usage tracking for materials used in Development and Commercial Operations. This role also serves as a vital communication interface between the lab team and the operations team to ensure that material quality and delivery goals are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Competency in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a regulated environment preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of shipping and receiving experience with a good understanding of safety regulation, physical dexterity and inventory tracking preferred

Responsibilities

  • Properly account for the location of incoming goods
  • Assuring received items were not damaged in transit
  • Comparing packing lists with contents in the shipment to ensure each delivery matches the packing list (note discrepancies)
  • Record and log all incoming items into our inventory management system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving and shipping area
  • Creating MSS Records as required
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Responsible for stocking Inventory
  • Responsible for issuing out inventory to the lab team and other departments as needed
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability
  • Lead and perform periodic cycle and wall-to-wall counts, as specified by policy, and business need
  • Track and manage manufacturing builds, materials, and inventory
  • Assist with documentation, including pulling and completing batch records for the manufacturing team
  • Collaborate with our procurement team to align inventory needs with business demands
  • Supports Project Management (Inventory Replenishment System), Development and Laboratory management in forecasting supply and materials needs
  • Maintains training and compliance to Biodesix Quality Management system
  • Packing products for return to vendors and filling out paperwork as necessary
  • Prepare and package orders for shipment according to company and customer specifications
  • Assist in training and be a back-up for the other material control coordinators on your team
  • Assist in development of a dedicated shipping function for the company
  • Coordinate with carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, freight) for daily pickups and deliveries
  • Track shipments and resolve shipping issues or delays
  • Communicate with internal departments (e.g., sales, IT, lab) to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of shipments and orders
  • Resolving discrepancies in the above
