External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Your Role: An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our company as Material Handler! You will handle multiple processes within the distribution area; including receipts, put away, picking, packing, sorting, and other tasks associated with fulfilling customer orders. Performs assigned duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Manages personal training requirements and expectations. Completes tasks promptly to meet production schedules and compliance standards. Maintains professional relationships with department personnel and other departments. Assists in alternate work areas as needed. Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly. Initiates and maintains accurate computer transactions. Picks, packs, and inspects materials for accuracy and compliance with requirements. Physical Attributes: Occasionally sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, and crouch, and stay on feet for eight hours. Talk, hear, and smell. Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds unassisted Move more than 75 pounds with assistance. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and adjust focus. Work in cold room environments. Regularly uses phones, computers, computer monitors and all office equipment. Type at a computer keyboard and read CRTs/computer monitors. Environmental conditions of this role are working near moving mechanical parts (Conveyors, powered industrial vehicles). Wear appropriate protective equipment including gloves and safety glasses.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
1+ years experience in warehouse operation

Nice To Haves

Forklift or dangerous goods shipping certification
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and some Warehousing Computer Systems
Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Warehouse shipping procedures and inventory cycle count experience
Experience with equipment and tools utilized in shipping, receiving and warehousing operations including but not limited to forklift, stacker, pallet jacks, hand truck, postage meter machines
