About The Position

The Material Control Analyst position at thyssenkrupp Materials, LLC in San Antonio, Texas, is responsible for providing accurate inventory information for company-controlled material stock. This role supports the flow of materials from inventory to the production line and involves creating and maintaining material control reports, updating inventory management systems, tracking part number adjustments, and entering cycle count results. The analyst will also assist in internal and external material audits, maintain a high degree of accuracy, and comply with health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent working knowledge of Inventory Management Systems
  • Solid proficiency using MS Office software, particularly with Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
  • Proven high level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work and data entry
  • Knowledge of all database programs used and their impact on material control functions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing
  • Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain regular material control reports for management
  • Update inventory management system
  • Track part number adjustments
  • Update and monitor inventory adjustments
  • Enter cycle count results
  • Develop part to part transfers
  • Assign location in inventory for incoming materials
  • Investigate inventory error and location/assignment errors
  • Assist in internal and external material audits
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
  • Participate, support, and comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
  • Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE when required
  • Assist in any other duties to support the operations, as requested by supervisor or manager
