About The Position

· Working from blueprints, Bell Process Specifications, drawings or written specifications performs all necessary layouts and prepares parts or articles composed of like or unlike materials for pressure bonding process. · Plans operations and performs assembling, fitting, and trimming as required, applies either liquid or solid bonding agents. · Uses various production aids, such as jigs, fixtures and hand tools. · Checks all work to ensure selection and application of proper bonding agent, correct assembly and fitting, etc., and places articles in a pressure furnace. · Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used. · Maintains close watch over furnace controls during bonding process to ensure successful bond and prevent damage to articles. · Checks articles when finished. Responsible for safe operation of equipment.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years metal fitting or forming experience, one (1) year of which must have been in bonding work including the operation of a pressure furnace, or two (2) years Bell Material Bonder B or Material Bonder – I classification experience or one (1) year Bell Material Bonder B experience combined with one (1) year metal fitting or forming experience.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
