About The Position

Bausch + Lomb is a leading global eye health company dedicated to protecting and enhancing the gift of sight for millions of people around the world. The Material Associate I position involves responsibilities within various areas including manufacturing floor support, component stockroom, packaging department, and FG stockrooms. The role requires extensive hands-on training and the ability to become efficient in multiple areas of operation. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-starter
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years working in a stockroom.
  • Hazmat certification 49 CFR / IATA
  • Industrial equipment operation qualifications
  • Working knowledge of existing computer programs (i.e. PeopleSoft, ERPLX, Webship, Documentum, Compliance, Wire, Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Train and become efficient in assigned areas of operation.
  • Package hand-held surgical instruments by hand and using auto-bagger.
  • Perform system maintenance to track location of instruments in the operation.
  • Process and re-package returned instruments.
  • Process hand-pieces including rinsing and drying, maintaining inventory, pulling from inventory.
  • Update and address daily activity and monitoring reports for accountability.
  • Assist in the Annual Physical Inventory.
  • Pull shop orders and departmental requests for inventory in the Component Stockroom.
  • Perform applicable system work and participate in the Annual Physical Inventory.
  • Pull customer orders in the FG Stockroom and perform daily putaways.
  • Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
