About The Position

The Material & Inv Planning & Cont Assistant is accountable for planning, coordinating, and managing inventory and production data entry to ensure efficient operations. They work closely with various departments, including production, logistics and procurement, to streamline processes and meet customer demands

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in production planning/materials controls function or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Lifting Capacity - ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Mobility - prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc.
  • Exposure - moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Noise Tolerance - high noise levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Some knowledge of manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processes production entries and updates material production requirements.
  • Interfaces with inventory control for scheduling and availability.
  • Monitor stock levels, track shipments, and update inventory records.
  • Maintain inventory databases and generate reports for management.
  • Serves as backup for IC transfer transactions
  • Serves as backup for delivery orders releases
  • Participates and leads Continues Improvement innitiatives
  • Reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
  • Releases production orders for materials and purchases.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, purchasing, and supervisors for material status and production planning.
  • Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Manages special projects as designated by the Plant Manager.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
