We have expanded from international rugby, to soccer, American football and Aussie rules. Who we are looking for: These roles are focused on the operational delivery of our football matchday services in major cities across the UK. It is a unique blend of sport performance, technology, and operations in a fast-paced and thrilling environment. Successful candidates will, as part of a team, assist with the smooth operational execution of game day services using smart ball and player tracking technology. The role will include system installation, live system operation and ensuring smooth operational processes to the highest possible standard. The ideal candidate is a football fan that appreciates the value that technology brings to the sporting arena. You will be interested in how data can be used, especially with respect to analysis and data. You will be able to work confidently and independently in potentially ‘high pressure’ situations, where time, accuracy and communication are very important. You may need to work with a broad range of Matchday stakeholders requiring confidence and process adherence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on the front lines of football innovation with a dynamic and supportive team. Full training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of professional football
  • Proven ability to work and solve problems in high-pressure environments
  • Competent using excel for data analysis and interpretation
  • Commitment to working outside of regular weekends and unsociable hours
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle and travel to multiple stadiums around the country

Nice To Haves

  • Currently studying or graduate of Sport Science, Performance Analysis or related degrees
  • Hands-on experience with similar sports technology
  • Experience with performance analysis software for live coding events

Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor and operate Sportable’s ball tracking technology at selected matches
  • Liaise with Sportable staff, stadium staff, teams and broadcasters to ensure smooth and professional service delivery
  • Complete post-match coding of match datasets
