About The Position

All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with VITAS Healthcare Corporation’s policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments and governmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: Oversight: · Oversee the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the MAT program, in collaboration with the MAT Medical Director, to ensure it enables achievement of organizational goals and generates the greatest value for the organization. · Evaluate the performance of the Nursesync (or successor) app, establish the development roadmap for the Nursesync (or successor) app (in collaboration with Admissions Central Support and executive leadership), and partner with the platform owner for app enhancements and associated staff training. · Educate MAT physicians around app functionality, including training newly hired MAT physicians in collaboration with MAT medical director. · Oversight of the success of the MAT program from the perspective of both the programs and national leadership. · Review ‘not admitted’ charts for cases escalated and not escalated to MAT, to identify opportunities for improvement. · Facilitate the implementation of the Nursesync (or successor) app and MAT approach for new programs, ensuring smooth integration and support. Collaboration: · Lead collaboration between the MAT team, regional directors of admissions, program admission resources, and Admissions Central Support, to ensure appropriate utilization of the MAT and customer service. · Collaborate with the MAT team, regional director of admissions, and program admissions team to enhance customer service and streamline operations. · Attend regular training sessions at MAT programs with the MAT medical director to ensure optimal performance. · Maintain strong relationships with the director of admissions and admission nurses with the MAT team including regular meetings. · Address concerns of the regional director of admissions with the MAT team and solution for them. · Ensure central support admission initiatives are seamlessly integrated as part of the MAT program. · Optimize escalation and vetting process between programs and the MAT around complex treatments. KPI Performance: · Accountable (along with MAT Medical Director) for MAT key performance indicators. · Collaborate with strategy and innovation and/or operation performance to monitor MAT effectiveness. · Analyze admission metrics to ensure optimal impact of MAT service, including percent of referrals with appointment that present to the MAT for potential admission, and MAT conversion. · Generate and monitor MAT scorecards for the MAT as a whole and for each physician, and implement performance improvement plans when needed, in concert with the MAT medical director. Requirements

  • Five or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in healthcare admissions management or a related role, with a strong understanding of admission processes and metrics.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to foster collaboration among diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Must have the ability to anticipate new / future strategy and performance needs to ensure ongoing innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of assessing program performance and driving data-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at addressing concerns and maintaining productive relationships.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business administration, or nursing required
