About The Position
The Granite YMCA is seeking a Master's Swim Team Coach for our swim team at the Allard Center of Goffstown. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about swimming and coaching, and who want to make a positive impact on the development of swimmers in our community. The Master's Coach will play a crucial role in supporting swimmer development and team growth, working closely with participants to help them achieve their individual goals as well as team outcomes. The coach will be responsible for implementing practices tailored to varying skill levels, from newly competitive swimmers to accomplished triathletes. Most of our Master's swimmers are triathletes preparing for events of varying distances, and the coach will need to be reliable, positive, and enthusiastic in their approach. The Master's program operates year-round, and the coach will need to have flexible availability to attend most weekend swim meets throughout the winter season. The position is set to start in September, with the possibility of an earlier start to prepare for the fall and winter seasons. The coach will be expected to facilitate regular swim practices for a variety of ability groups, coach and instruct all participants while differentiating approaches based on their varying abilities and experiences, and participate in the setup and breakdown of practices and meets. Additionally, the coach will help determine swimmers' events for meet entries, ensuring that each swimmer is placed in events that align with their skills and goals.
