About The Position

The Olympic Club is seeking a Masters Swim Coach to run workouts for our masters swimming team. The ideal candidate is passionate about swimming, knowledgeable in training principles, and able to create a fun and challenging experience for our members. This part-time role includes coaching sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00–7:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00–9:00 AM.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of coaching experience
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification
  • USA Swimming Coach member
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • ASCA Level 1

Responsibilities

  • Creating and coaching challenging workouts for former Division I athletes to intermediate-level swimmers.
  • Fostering a positive, motivating environment that supports both pool and open water competitive goals.
  • Potential opportunities to coach and compete at local USMS meets and USMS Nationals.
  • Actively participate in signature Olympic Club events, including the 1500 Meter Meet, Trans Tahoe Relay, Cal & Stanford Senior Dinner, and other team-building social events.
  • There may also be opportunities to act as a substitute coach for our Junior Swim Team.
