The Masters Swim Coach is responsible for cultivating, overseeing, and maintaining a culture of safety within the swimming program. This role requires adherence to all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety protocols. The coach must maintain USMS certified coach status (or obtain it within 6 months of hire), along with certifications in American Cross Lifeguarding, Professional Rescuer CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration or similar certifications. The coach will develop and conduct team workouts for various levels of swimmers, work on stroke development, and provide motivational support and guidance for participants. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interacting with participants and facility staff. The position requires early morning availability, starting at 5:45 am on weekdays.
