About The Position

The Master's Level In-Home Counselor/Social Worker at Youth Villages is responsible for providing in-home counseling services to at-risk youth and their families. This role involves managing a small caseload, collaborating with various stakeholders, and utilizing a strengths-based approach to support families in crisis. The position offers flexibility in scheduling and emphasizes professional development through regular meetings and training opportunities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
• Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families in a volunteer, internship, or paid position; clinical experience is preferred.
• Willingness to maintain a nontraditional schedule.
• Strong writing skills and experience with electronic documentation.
• Acceptable driving record with two or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home counseling services for at-risk youth and families.
• Manage a small caseload of four to six families to ensure quality counseling.
• Meet with youth and families three times weekly to address their needs.
• Provide after-hours support to youth and families through on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with youth, families, teachers, and community members to support youth success.
• Attend three weekly meetings for professional development and clinical skill enhancement.
