About The Position

The Master Tooling Technician at Accu-Tube is responsible for leading set-up activities in the Draw Forming cell, ensuring that the correct tools and dies are kitted for each work order based on design specifications. This role involves monitoring production quality, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to the Accu-Tube Quality Management System. The technician will also perform inspections and assist in training newer operators, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with metal fabrication jobs, machining, or stamping operations preferred.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining tooling and inspecting first article parts.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Ability to read product specifications and use measuring instruments.
• High attention to detail with a focus on achieving precise and accurate outcomes.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English language.

Responsibilities

• Lead set-up activities in the Draw Forming cell.
• Ensure correct tools and dies are kitted for each work order based on design specifications.
• Monitor in-process jobs to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Assist with troubleshooting out-of-tolerance sample runs and adjust tooling as necessary.
• Perform in-process inspections of own work and that of other operators.
• Complete required paperwork for each production run and audit paperwork filled out by newer operators.
• Assist in assigning work to the work cell and ensure timely job completion.
• Maintain critical machinery and assemblies at optimal efficiency.
• Follow all safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support new ideas and help implement them.
