About The Position

Make a Lasting Impact as an School-based Master Substitute Registered Behavior Technician®. Join the Oahu Behavioral Health Team. BAYADA Behavioral Health is a non-profit employer seeking an School-based Master Substitute Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®). RBTs work with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs) to reduce challenging behaviors, increase functional skills, and foster independence and individuality. How You’ll Make an Impact: Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams. Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment Document interventions and progress towards goals Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals Provide support to the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine Supports school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Requirements

  • Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT) Certified
  • One-year RBT experience required
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
  • Must be able to take on all assignments and commute to Central, Windward and all areas of Honolulu.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams.

  • Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment
  • Document interventions and progress towards goals
  • Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan
  • Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals
  • Provide support to the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine
  • Supports school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
