About The Position

The Manager is responsible for oversight and coordination of requirements from customers in order to develop and drive the Master Scheduling function at PMC. This role involves monitoring the flow of product through the PMC factory based on forecasts, firm purchase orders, and scheduled requirements. The Manager will provide cross-functional support and collaboration regarding all factory constraints and any deviation from the Master Schedule.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Production Control and/or Master Scheduling.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4 year college or university; and 3 or more years related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft AX.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Nice To Haves

  • MRP or ERP system experience beneficial.
  • Machine shop understanding a plus.
  • Aviation background helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools to monitor and take actions to ensure a high state of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate Past Due Status to upper management and direct expedite personnel to work with all departments in PMC and outside processing to ensure timely flow of product to ensure on-time delivery to customer.
  • Maintain and monitor capacity charting, developing recommendations to ensure we stay within our capacity thresholds.
  • Lead status meetings and follow up with purchasing, production, quality assurance to ensure schedule requirements are met.
  • Establish productive relationships with production, quality assurance, engineering, planning and shipping to achieve a high level of communication and effectiveness to ensure schedules are met.
  • Identify Capacity and/or schedule concerns and take appropriate action to resolve problems and bottlenecks in the flow of product.
  • Make or recommend revisions to planned production schedules as necessary when schedules cannot be met.
  • Review sales and forecasting data from customers, validating MRP accuracy.
  • Monitor Min/Max accounts and ensure compliance to inventory levels and delivery to customer.
  • Monitor long lead items and ensure they are getting worked per schedule as well as prioritizing any emergent requirements.
  • Develop and implement efficient order release process based on customer requirements.
  • Develop recommendations to improve policies and procedures.
  • Establish improved controls and reporting systems to provide accurate information on progress, schedules and customer service.
