The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. This role requires hands-on coordination with production teams on the shop floor to ensure real-time alignment between planning and execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in highly technical production environments , strong analytical skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Project)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

Nice To Haves

  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), preferred
  • Experience in highly technical or complex production environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules that align with company goals and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations and material availability.
  • Work directly with production supervisors and floor staff to ensure schedule adherence, resolve issues, and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Continuously monitor production progress and adjust schedules in response to delays, equipment issues, or changes in demand.
  • Work with supply chain managers to ensure timely procurement and availability of raw materials and components.
  • Conduct regular capacity assessments and calculate takt time to align production rates with customer demand.
  • Implement strategies to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and improve throughput using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain accurate records of scheduling activities, report discrepancies, and provide regular updates to senior management.
