About The Position

Who We Are Looking For: Are you the Master's Level Clinician/Therapist we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students! The Susan Wayne Center of Excellence (SWCE) provides intensive, staff secure, educational and living experiences for male and female adolescents intended to cultivate excellence in all areas of growth and functioning, while preparing them for increased independence as they move into young adulthood. We are located on thirty-eight acres of property in beautiful Thompson, CT. Thompson is centrally located, 25 minutes south of Worcester, MA and 40 minutes west of Providence, RI. The program serves 33 adolescents with developmental disabilities who range in age from 10-21. We provide training in cutting-edge treatment models, such as the ARC framework, Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART) and Neurofeedback Therapy. We offer ongoing monthly professional development through SMART and Family Therapy consultation. Clinical supervision is provided within a multidisciplinary team and we will help you obtain licensure if needed. Compensation The pay range for this position is $50,000 to $75,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. What You'll Do: This position is as a full time Clinician within a Residential program. The Clinician provides individual, group, and family therapy to a caseload of five to eight residents. The Clinician is an integral member of the resident’s treatment team and is also responsible for the development of interdisciplinary treatment plans, as well as all case documentation. The Clinician will be expected to maintain professionalism and work alongside other professionals, as needed with other agencies. Why JRI? Be who you are! Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Clinical licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC) preferred.
  • Ability to sit for clinical licensure required.
  • Minimum of two years experience in individual, group and family therapy and assessment with adolescents and experience in residential program or mental health in-patient program preferred.
  • Knowledge in child and adolescent development required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Acceptable driving record check, Nationwide Alpha background check, State of CT criminal background check using fingerprints and DCF background check.
  • Able to work alone in an unsupervised environment
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination.
  • Ability to be certified in BCC and in American Red Cross CPR/First Aid.
  • Maintains valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and/or training in work with populations impacted by traumatic stress, mental and behavioral health challenges, and developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Experience in case management, systems of care, and record keeping preferred.
