About The Position

The Master Scheduler is a critical role responsible for end-to-end production scheduling across complex glass manufacturing value streams. This individual will serve as the central link between sales demand, production execution, and on-time customer delivery. This role requires a highly analytical, decisive leader with proven experience scheduling complex, multi-process manufacturing environments, managing constraints, and driving operational discipline.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Master Scheduler or senior production planner in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success scheduling multi-step value streams with competing constraints
  • Experience overseeing or closely working with shipping/logistics operations
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production planning methodologies
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and independent decision-making ability
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across functions

  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the production schedule across multiple value streams and locations
  • Balance customer demand, capacity, labor, materials, and equipment constraints to optimize throughput and delivery performance
  • Lead scheduling for complex, made-to-order manufacturing environments
  • Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain to align priorities and resolve conflicts
  • Proactively identify risks to schedule adherence and drive corrective action
  • Own schedule integrity, accuracy, and execution accountability
  • Ensure on-time, accurate, and cost-effective shipment of finished goods
  • Coordinate shipping schedules with production output and customer delivery requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in shipping processes, efficiency, and safety
  • Drive data-based decision making using KPIs related to schedule adherence, OTIF, lead time, and throughput
  • Improve planning systems, processes, and tools to support rapid growth
  • Lead cross-functional problem solving in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • Support CGS’s entrepreneurial, accountability-driven culture
