About The Position

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Master Production Scheduler to join our Service team based in Kinston, NC. As part of a production rate ramp-up and major industrial transformations, you will join the Supply Chain & Logistics Department within the Plant Planning & Scheduling division, supporting operational sites in their PC&L (Production Control & Logistics) activities while also ensuring a unified vision and professional momentum across the Airbus Commercial Group Within the team, you will be responsible for defining, contributing to, and carrying out operational planning activities within an extended Multifunctional Team (MFT), as well as contributing to the industrial transformation project alongside PC&L operations staff and other departments across the Airbus Commercial Group Meet the Team: Our team at Airbus Aerosystems Kinston manufactures crucial aircraft components. Your Working Environment: Your Working Environment: The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar. Your Challenges: The Advanced Master Production Scheduler has the primary mission of developing, communicating, and implementing short-, medium-, and long-term detailed planning for aerostructure components within an integrated Airbus Commercial Group flow and in a complex operational environment.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management / Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Industrial Management
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with MRP II principles (especially S&OP, MPS, MRP, and Execution) and a good understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain concepts within a production environment
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional and multi-site networks, with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Participate in VSM Integrated Planning routines to assess changes in customer/consumer demand and operational challenges with the various stakeholders in the flow (industrial constraints, 5M analyses, operational risks, etc.).
  • Build and continuously improve planning parameters and models in dedicated tools (e.g., APC Jaguar, SAP).
  • Develop detailed production scenarios based on the plant calendar and the availability of all required resources.
  • Recommend production smoothing phases (acceleration/deceleration), including recovery plans when needed, based on defined criteria.
  • Identify and propose the best planning solutions to meet program or plant requirements using the developed scenarios.
  • Update ERP systems based on the validated planning scenario.
  • Formalize and communicate the production schedule to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Secure commitments from all involved parties and encourage timely planning and execution of their actions.
  • Prepare and lead planning routines: Weekly for short-term planning Monthly for mid/long-term planning Engage all stakeholders (Production, PC&L, Supply Chain, Local VSM, Manufacturing Engineering, Configuration, etc.).
  • Build, maintain, and analyze KPIs measuring production plan execution and delivery performance.
  • Identify and implement improvement actions based on KPI insights.
  • Coordinate and streamline communication among all stakeholders involved in the end-to-end supply chain (site PC&L, demand management, supply, customer, etc.).
  • Define, develop, and implement routines and processes for creating, maintaining, and improving master planning key data (supply chain structure, calendar, buffer levels, etc.).
  • Promote a customer-focused mindset and act as a change leader within the plant organization.
  • Collaborate closely with all site functions (Program, Manufacturing engineering, materials logistics, quality, and production teams) to implement strategy changes effectively.
  • Synthesize complex planning scenarios and present clear, concise updates to multiple levels of management
