About The Position

The Master Production Planner plays a critical role in supporting the mission readiness. This position ensures efficient and compliant depot-level repairs, refurbishment, and tracking of assets while maintaining strict configuration control. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of ERP/MRP system management, defense logistics, production planning, and configuration/data management within a classified environment. This position is onsite in a dynamic multi-company team, working in a ‘badge-less' work environment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior professional experience.
  • Experience in lieu of education can be substituted.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience using MS project or similar scheduling tool to manage scheduling constraints.
  • Experience managing schedule constraints and working with task/project owners on mitigation strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Current/active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
  • 7-10+ years with ERP/MRP system management, production planning, logistics, role within a defense or aerospace environment.
  • Prior experience supporting Navy and/or DoD programs preferred.
  • Highly organized, efficient and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate schedules timely, clearly and effectively with project managers, shop leadership and department managers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain master schedules in a fast-paced low volume, high variability, dynamic manufacturing and engineering environment.
  • Lead production scheduling on a complex, multi-IPT/company team.
  • Develop and manage production and repair schedules to meet delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Depot Operations to ensure the timely flow of materials, tooling, and resources.
  • Analyze factory operation systems and coordinate between functions for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct capacity planning in compliance with program requirements.
  • Track material shortages, delays, and schedule risks, and implement corrective actions to minimize impact.
  • Provide daily reporting to multiple Gov't and non-Gov't customers.
  • Occasional travel to other facilities or government sites may be required.
  • Some work outside standard hours may be necessary to meet program deliverables.
