About The Position

As a Summer Intern at Black & Veatch, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world’s most critical infrastructure challenges. Requirements

  • Working towards a Bachelor degree in engineering or professional degree in Sciences in area of expertise preferred with specialized training, or experience that uniquely qualifies the individual to perform the job responsibilities.
  • Has completed a minimum of 2 years in an accredited college.
  • No experience required.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD
  • Strong planning, design, visualization, and graphic skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting to clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships
  • Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve design issues
  • Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Development of content for planning reports
  • Development of report graphics, including mapping
  • Assisting in the planning charrette process
  • Developing presentation materials
  • Working collaboratively with all disciplines
  • Monitoring compliance with project requirements
