Rock Pros is looking for two highly skilled 'gearheads' to be the backbone of our maintenance operation. We are hiring one master mechanic to cover the South/East area and another for the North/West, but both positions may be required to support either area as needed. You'll be provided with a company vehicle to support your work in the field. This isn't just about turning wrenches; it's about being the master of the iron in the pit and the man who keeps the entire plant humming. If you're the go-to guy for a broken-down crusher and you can read a hydraulic schematic like a road map, we want to talk to you. We need individuals with a 'go-and-up-for-anything' mindset, comfortable with extensive travel to various locations in Arizona and potentially Nevada. This role requires a clean driving record and an unrestricted driver's license.

  • Expertly diagnosing and fixing all yellow iron, from loaders and haul trucks to the plant's crushers and screens.
  • Independently tackling the toughest breakdowns and implementing preventative maintenance.
  • Handling big jobs, including complete engine overhauls and transmission repairs.
  • Troubleshooting complex hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing various equipment including track-hoes, skid steers, dozers, and loaders.
  • Performing welding and fabrication tasks to create custom mounts or brackets.
  • Leading and mentoring less experienced mechanics.
  • Delegating tasks efficiently to ensure timely repairs.
  • Analyzing complex equipment breakdowns and creating smart repair strategies.
  • Maintaining a company-provided vehicle and personal toolkit.
  • Contributing to preventative maintenance schedules and analyzing maintenance data.
  • Overseeing the 'parts house' to ensure necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Keeping detailed records of repairs, parts used, and equipment conditions.
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of heavy equipment and plant machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions without constant supervision.
  • Proven ability to lead and train other mechanics.
  • Ownership of a comprehensive personal toolkit and familiarity with specialized tools.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various conditions.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
  • Commitment to safety in the workplace.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance software such as Sitedocs.
  • Working knowledge of asset management systems like Lumen.
  • Experience with payroll/HR software like Paylocity.
  • Knowledge of generators 500KW or more.
