Student Counseling Services offers a 10-month Master of Social Work (MSW) Internship beginning August 1, 2026, and ending on May 31, 2027. Our focus is to provide a strong clinical experience for our interns that integrates the development of clinical competence and ethical practice with professional growth and development in a supportive environment. Interns will be exposed to a full range of clinical services, therapeutic perspectives, and interdisciplinary skills within a University Counseling Center. While clients we serve may request to engage in services via telehealth, interns will only provide telehealth services while working on-site, as interns will not be able to provide clinical services while off-site. Additional Information This internship is designed as a second field placement opportunity for students currently enrolled in a master’s level social work program with at least one year of prior clinical experience. Applicants are carefully selected based on their prior clinical experience, strong recommendations from their home program and/or previous field placement supervisors, and an in-person interview with the dedicated staff at Student Counseling Services. This thorough process ensures a collaborative and enriching training experience tailored to support the growth and success of the intern.
