About The Position

The Master Electrician / Master of Record is responsible for managing, designing, constructing, and maintaining the ministry’s electrical systems. This role ensures compliance with all electrical codes, oversees the performance of the electrical team, and serves as the official Master of Record for all electrical operations within the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid Texas Master Electrician License.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Master Electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and components.
  • Skilled in control wiring, electrical design, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with electrical construction in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
  • Proficient with blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC control systems and related software.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; able to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to perform manual labor and wear tools while working alongside crews.
  • Must display professionalism, attention to detail, and safety awareness at all times.
  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division
  • Must maintain a good attendance record

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Master of Record for all ministry electrical operations, signing all required documents and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and work alongside electrical crews, including Master and Journeyman Electricians, helpers, and contractors.
  • Design, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, control systems, and components for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
  • Assist with electrical generation facilities, control systems, and 25kV distribution networks.
  • Support and maintain HVAC control systems and related software.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure code compliance and accurate execution.
  • Estimate project costs and timelines, providing updates to the Facilities or Maintenance Manager.
  • Coordinate daily activities with other department leads, including HVAC, Plumbing, Utilities, Land Maintenance, and Facilities.
  • Ensure all installed systems function properly and comply with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to electrical work and compliance.
  • Order replacement parts, materials, and tools as needed.
  • Participate in the rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
  • Assist other trades or departments when required.
  • Enforce and comply with OSHA regulations, ministry policies, and safety procedures.
