We are seeking an experienced Master Mechanic with exceptional expertise in drivability diagnostics and air conditioning repair to join our established automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced diagnostic skills, extensive hands-on experience, and the ability to tackle complex automotive issues with precision and efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum 8-10 years of automotive repair experience with at least 5 years focused on drivability and AC diagnostics
ASE Master Certification preferred
Proficiency with professional diagnostic software and equipment (Snap-on, Autel, etc.)
Strong understanding of engine management systems, fuel delivery, ignition systems, and emission controls
Comprehensive knowledge of automotive AC systems including variable displacement compressors and automatic climate control
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Own professional-grade hand tools

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive drivability diagnostics on domestic and import vehicles, including engine performance issues, emission system problems, and intermittent concerns
Execute complete automotive air conditioning system diagnosis, repair, and maintenance including refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging procedures
Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment including scan tools, oscilloscopes, pressure testers, and refrigerant identifiers
Diagnose and repair complex electrical and electronic systems related to engine management and climate control
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians
Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers
Maintain accurate documentation of all diagnostic procedures and repairs performed
Stay current with evolving automotive technology, TSBs, and manufacturer updates
