About The Position

This position is accountable for the necessary maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and production maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. This can include dryers, chillers, thermo oxidizer, HVAC, fire pump, mixers, mills, all filling line equipment, conveyors, wrappers, tanks, motors, pumps, tank washer, tank tipper, dock maintenance, building maintenance and any other item required by management.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must have one (1) year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Have at least two (2) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Have at least an Industrial, electrical or welding certifications, and/or a post-secondary/technical degree.
  • Have basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory.
  • Have knowledge of PLC programming.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime.
  • Support site housekeeping and safety programs.
  • Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
  • Checks and refills lubricant reservoirs, applies grease to lubricant points.
  • Inspect machinery while performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Operate shop tools, equipment, and machines related to maintenance.
  • Make repairs and adjustments to machinery.
  • Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation tasks unassisted.
  • Maintain and service a range of building equipment such as HVAC, lighting, water, and sewer.
  • Assist in the installation of new plant equipment.
  • Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment.
