Requirements

  • High School/GED, Technical/Military/College a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of skilled industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience working with processing, bottling, canning, packaging equipment, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience in plant utilities is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMMS programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complete electrical and mechanical maintenance support for the utilities systems in a high-speed bottling facility.
  • Ensure that processing, filling, sterilizing, and packaging equipment are supplied with the necessary clean steam, water, compressed air, etc.
  • Execute repair work orders and requests in a timely manner to ensure production needs are met.
  • Perform tasks in a safe manner following safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a 1,000 HP and two 800 HP boilers and back-up fuel oil system.
  • Maintain de-aerators, de-alkalizers, and water softeners.
  • Maintain chemical feed systems for boiler water quality.
  • Conduct water quality tests for boiler water quality.
  • Maintain and monitor four Trane chillers.
  • Maintain five evaporative cooling towers.
  • Conduct water quality tests for retort cooling water loop.
  • Maintain two Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems.
  • Monitor utility's chemical inventory to include ordering chemicals when needed.
  • Maintain three large air compressors.
  • Provide immediate assistance to downtime situations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make repairs accordingly.
  • Ensure all repairs are documented.
  • Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
  • Follow all DFA GMP's, clean work areas upon completing a project and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
  • Perform other tasks and jobs as necessary.
