Set up and operate manual machines independently using your own ideas on clamping, holding and machining strategies to yield positive results on tooling components as well as rework of precision aerospace parts. Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications. Maintain adherence to production schedules and dispatch lists. Stage materials, tools, and fixtures to support efficient workflow and minimize changeover time. Provide feedback to Engineering and Quality teams to improve processes and reduce cycle times. Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity. Maintain equipment through routine preventive maintenance. Accurately complete required documentation (e.g., work orders, inspection logs). Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
