About The Position
The Master Machinist at the College of Engineering Student Machine Shop serves as the in-house expert for advanced manufacturing practices, including CNC programming, CAD/CAM processing, welding, and laser cutting. This role involves collaborating with faculty to design and deliver training for engineering courses and student projects, while also supporting students in their machining-related activities. The Master Machinist will manage the instructional machine shop, ensuring safety and efficient use of equipment and materials, and will participate in strategic planning for shop improvements.
