About The Position

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing electric system installations for multiple systems including but not limited to dishwashers, dryers, cooktops, etc. based on state requirements. The incumbent must be able to work any shift to satisfy the demand for flexibility in scheduling to ensure operational success. This includes but is not limited to day, night, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age with a Master Electrician license
  • Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
  • Non-commercial driver's license
  • Must possess a valid medical certification
  • Must possess a motor vehicle record that meets J.B. Hunt standards
  • Must possess the ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with appliance installations and/or equivalent military experience
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 100 pounds)
  • Ability to wear appropriate work attire (bump cap, footwear, gloves)
  • Effective Communication Skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of local electrical codes
  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to work flexible workdays and hours

Responsibilities

  • Perform the basic installation, repair, and removal of electric service lines, fuses, and metering equipment and perform basic electrical work for building, infrastructure, and equipment
  • Direct and train employees to perform duties as appropriate
  • Adhere to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy of installations
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce installation practices, policies, and procedures
  • Detect, analyze, and resolve problems or issues applicable to the installation using various technologies, tools, and equipment
  • Conduct observations on the installation teams to ensure compliance and safety
  • Communicate job expectations with installation teams to ensure successful delivery and installation
  • Communicate regularly with Job Site Management to build effective and professional relationships
  • Preview job sites to ensure they’re safe and ready for delivery based on the Builders schedule; communicate findings with the office staff and external customers
  • May load, unload, install, and test household appliances using necessary hand tools and power tools based on job specifications, manufacturer's installation instructions, and local codes
  • Maintain electrical equipment including conducting diagnostic testing and repair of switch gear, motors, and transformers
