Requirements

Expert-Level Skill - Advanced knowledge of automotive systems including electrical, drivability, transmission, and engine diagnostics.
Quality of Workmanship - You hold yourself to the highest standards, ensuring every repair is completed with accuracy, care, and integrity. You never "just get it done" - you get it done right.
GM Certified or ASE Master Technician status preferred (but not required).
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
Problem-Solving Ability - Strong diagnostic and analytical skills to efficiently identify issues and recommend proper repairs.
Technical Aptitude - Proficiency with GM diagnostic systems, tools, and digital service platforms.
Communication & Teamwork - Able to clearly explain findings and collaborate effectively with Service Advisors and other technicians.
Efficiency & Productivity - Proven ability to manage time, maximize flag hours, and maintain high CSI scores.
Continuous Learning - Commitment to staying current with evolving vehicle technologies and participating in manufacturer training.
Professionalism & Reliability - Dependable, punctual, and committed to representing the Preston brand with excellence.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Automotive technical school or ASE certification preferred.
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required.

Nice To Haves

GM Certification - Strong familiarity with GM systems, platforms, and repair processes a huge plus.
CDK Experience - Preferred but not required; we'll train the right candidate.
